Welcome to US Naturalization Test Services! We're here to help you through the exciting process of becoming a United States citizen. You have the opportunity to join the American family through naturalization if you meet specific eligibility requirements and successfully pass the naturalization test. Before that, you will need to successfully go through your immigration appointment, which starts with an immigration officer taking your fingerprints, photograph, and digital signature. These biometrics confirm your identity and complete essential background and security checks.
Following this, your interview and test await you. You must demonstrate your understanding of the English language by passing the reading and writing test. During the interview, you'll also need to show your grasp of spoken English. Additionally, you'll demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of US history and government by passing a civics test.
During your interview, an immigration officer will assess your ability to understand English. For the reading part of the naturalization test, you'll be asked to read a sentence from a digital tablet aloud. You need to read one of the three sentences correctly to prove your English reading ability.
For the writing section of the naturalization test, you'll be tasked with writing a sentence. An immigration officer will read a sentence aloud, and you'll write it using a stylus pen on a tablet. Passing this section requires writing one sentence correctly to demonstrate your ability to write in English. We strongly encourage you to practice reading and writing before the test!
A key section of the exam is testing your knowledge of US history and government, also known as civics. To help you prepare for your naturalization interview and test, you can use our physical flashcards to practice all 100 civics questions and answers for the Civics test, as well as practice reading and writing sentences for your English test.
